Why is a Specialist Center Needed?
Our patients who come to Istanbul from Thrace, Silivri, Çanakkale and surrounding provinces turn to First Eye Hospital for problems they cannot find solutions to in the region.
Which Situations Should Absolutely Be Referred to the Expert Center?
- Retinal detachment or tear
- Advanced diabetic retinopathy and vitreoretinal complications
- Macular hole and epiretinal membrane
- Corneal failure and the need for corneal transplantation
- Keratoconus (advanced stage)
- Penetrating eye injuries
If you have received or are in doubt about any of these diagnoses, the surgical capacity of the center where the procedure will be performed is critical.
How Does the Process Work for Patients Coming from Out of City?
You can easily make an appointment via phone or online channels. If you submit your existing eye reports, examination results and imaging files in advance, our physician can meet you with a more productive meeting.
During the initial examination, necessary imaging and further examinations can be completed on the same day. Thanks to the fully equipped infrastructure of our hospital, the treatment plan is often clarified without the need for a second visit.
